Director, Strategic Pricing

in?total?door opening solutions. The Americas division, headquartered
in New Haven, Connecticut, employs approximately 9,000 people. ASSA
ABLOY Door Group is recruiting a Director of Strategic Pricing. The incumbent
will be responsible for the
development and execution of all ASSA ABLOY Door Group pricing activity
including; project pricing, buying program development, product pricing, price
book development and deployment, negotiations and long-term strategic pricing
strategy. Duties and responsibilities include:?


  • Translate data into actionable
    insights.?


  • Analyze, report and execute
    pricing strategies for various product categories.?


  • Support price integrity (price
    accuracy) and implementation of agreed upon pricing.?


  • Work with various leaders to
    implement and maintain pricing based on agreed upon strategies.?


  • Develop best in class pricing management concepts
    and tactics, and enable pricing capabilities to facilitate the use of data to
    support pricing decision making.?


  • Partner with sales, marketing, operations and other
    pricing resources to identify areas of price opportunity.?


  • Lead data and market-driven analytics to support
    pricing and program decisions, develop recommendations for price improvement,
    and?provide support for the execution and monitoring of pricing results.?


  • Maximize revenues through analysis of market trends,
    sales trends and pricing actions.?


  • Ensure accuracy of all pricing in various
    systems/marketplaces and alignment with strategic goals.?


  • Evaluate the marketplace and competitive data to
    optimally align pricing strategies.?


  • Run reporting on competitive market, pricing
    strategies, revenue targets and forecasting.?


  • Communicate status of revenues, forecast and pricing
    strategies to various teams and management.?


  • Provide additional reporting and presentations to
    senior management as needed.?


  • Compile and distribute various reports to
    applicable stakeholders.?


  • Provide leadership and guidance to all ASSA
    ABLOY Door Group pricing resources.?


  • Actively participates in providing a safe
    and harmonious working environment for all employees.?

    compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies,
    regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of
    Conduct.?

knowledge, skills and abilities required.?

Education:?


  • Bachelor?s
    Degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing or similar business-related
    discipline.? Advanced degree (MBA or quantitative discipline) preferred.?


  • Experience:?


  • Minimum of 7 years pricing experience in roles of
    progressively increasing responsibility.?


  • Intensive
    pricing analytics experience with demonstrated ability in reviewing and analyzing market
    data.?


  • Experience in Revenue Management/Pricing strategy
    implementation.?


  • Proven track record in successfully identifying and implementing analytical
    solutions.?


  • Demonstrated clear thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to work
    in the overall big picture setting as a strategic partner across the
    organization.?


  • Experience in B2B pricing strongly preferred.?


  • Experience working with large transactional databases across
    multiple platforms.?



Other:?


  • Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
    required.?


  • Strong knowledge of SQL preferred.?


  • Experience with Qlikview, IBM Cognos, and Business
    Objects reporting software a plus.?


  • Strong conceptual understanding of the price-share trade-off and its impact
    on profitability.?


  • Understanding of price elasticity modeling and sensitivity analysis in a
    quoting environment.?


  • Organization and project-management skills must be a core competency.?


  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills,
    analytical skills, project management skills, and people management skills.?


  • Ability to collaborate with and influence staff across the organization
    (Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, IT).?


  • Ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines.?


  • Strong logic and decision-making skills.?


  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.?


  • Effective cross-functional communication and
    co-ordination skills.?


  • Ability to travel using all methods of
    transportation.?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
