Sales Scientific Liaison- Infectious Diseases Expert

Primary mission is to help business opportunities' rapid closing thanks to proven products' expertise, an in-depth knowledge of Infectious Disease Italian markets and strong relationships with the main Infectious Disease' Key Opinion Leaders in Italy.
Focusing on strategic segments, goal is to impact revenue growth and help sales force in the development of their portfolio and market share.
Typically requires 8 to 10 years of experience.
Frequent national travel (up to 80% of time) is anticipated. Ideally located close to Milan, Florence or Bologna.
Main responsibilities and Duties
Collaborating with Marketing Manager
Uses its expertise and scientific knowledge of the products to support Marketing Managers on field with sales force
Is involved in the launch of new products
Provides scientific information gathered on the field that contributes to an efficient development of marketing strategies (feedback, competitor, market, regulatory compliance)
Participates in the products' market positioning (segmentation, price, brand, targets and sales pitch)
Prepares and runs products training sessions according to a defined program yearly set by the Sales and Marketing Management
Participates to conferences, symposiums and other events, direction in contact with customers incl. KOL and partners,
Creates and/or participates in the deployment of marketing tools for the sales force,, using shared methodology (eg.value Selling),
Collaborates with Local Marketing to ensure effective management of Key Opinions Leaders (KOL), of main customers ("Top 15") and of market players. Is active in the promotion of solutions
Collaborating with Sales force
Enhances all Infectious Disease range's products and thus contributes to the awareness of the full potential latter of these products;
Strategist and facilitator, is a key player in the success of sales strategies and contributes indirectly or directly to sales close effectiveness;
Follow-up of strategic files on a defined scope with the management;
Act as an evangelist, inspiring sales team to be successful in the revenue growth of key products;
Support monitoring of market renewals and regularly provide recommendation on sales forecasts;
Provide support for specific tenders' preparation where required due to his/her products' expertise;
Provide support to technical support when expected answers require a sharp technical response;
Ensure competitive intelligence;

Required background & experience
Master degree or equivalent (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy,..) with strong background in Microbiology
Competencies in sales in a highly regulated medical solutions industry (in vitro diagnostic);
Strong knowledge of the in-vitro medical device industry;
Proven experience within a commercial environment, ideally on a sales role, with a clear customer orientation. Able to deploy strategy & tactics within sales organization;
In depth Knowledge of Products, use and specificities;
Good understanding of Marketing mechanisms and steps till selling process;
Strong knowledge of the medical terms and vocabulary;
English level (CEFB3) to be able to understand and participate to conference call or webinars, or do a presentation;
IT/office Tools, Use of core functional processes (e.g. Outlook, CRM software, SAP, Concur, Workday, WebEx or equivalent,?)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
